The Accounting & Reporting Advisory (ARA) group is a dedicated team of IFRS, US GAAP and LUX GAAP experts that seek to use the accounting standards constructively and positively to help clients achieve their desired objectives. ARA is a client-facing group that is accustomed to being the expert in the room. ARA is also in charge of dealing with accounting consultations received from the audit teams of Deloitte. The ARA team members are experts in the accounting standards and their practical application to address the challenges faced by clients in different industries.

 

 

Your next challenge

 

• Challenging and advising firms on the implementation and application of new accounting standards and accounting for new products and structured transactions; • Assisting with consolidation accounting challenges; • Performing accounting policy and financial statement reviews; • Drafting and compiling financial statements for our clients under various GAAP (IFRS, LUX GAAP, US GAAP); • Compiling financial and non-financial information of entities in accordance with specific legal requirements including for complex structures.

 

 

Your skills

 

• You must have three years (at least) experience of working within the IFRS accounting team of a professional services firm or IFRS accounting policy department of a company (ideally active in the financial industry) or delivering on large listed IFRS audits within the financial industry. Having experience with consolidated financial statements is an advantage; • You must have ability to work on accounting input for complex IFRS accounting issues. Having such ability under LUX GAAP or US GAAP is an advantage; • You must have very good knowledge of Microsoft Office and analytics tools and we value relevant experiences with accounting system such as understanding main functionalities, accounting reports, data structuring, etc. • You must be fluent in English and in German. Having good command of French or Luxembourgish is an advantage. • Having a practical understanding of businesses within the financial industry is an advantage; • You must have professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, DSCG, DEC, Chartered Accountant, CPA or similar qualifications or be in the process of acquiring
