Your future team

We are looking for individuals to join our dynamic team in our Assurance Services business in Luxembourg. The Assurance business forms part of our wider Audit and Assurance function, and due to our exciting growth potential we want to employ people who have a passion for finance, accounting and regulatory matters in the asset management domain and a strong entrepreneurial spirit.

 

You will apply core finance, accounting and regulatory knowledge in providing clients with assurance and insight across their technical accounting and regulatory assurance needs. Our projects, which span a wide range of industries but primarily in the funds industry include:

  • Provide accounting advice and develop practical accounting solutions to technical accounting subjects impacting the asset management industry, for example US GAAP, IFRS and Lux GAAP.
  • Deliver assurance engagements to clients by evaluating and measuring the effectiveness of their activities designed to respond to the regulatory and stakeholder requirements for funds and fund managers in Luxembourg.
  • Reviewing client accounting and financial reporting processes to investors and regulators
  • Support to our Audit teams on matters impacting the asset management industry such as undue costs and long-form related topics
  • Creating and delivering training modules

  • Lead the successful planning and execution of projects
  • Effectively coach, mentor and develop junior members of the engagement team
  • Contribute to the growth of the team by creating a talent experience that attracts, develops and retains talents
  • Build strong client relationships, internal networks and play a significant part in new business proposals
  • Collaborate effectively across Deloitte functions to deliver on client needs
  • Develop and lead timely communications - both internal and external - relevant to our professionals and client
  • Develop materials for and participate in the delivery of presentations to clients and firm personnel
  • Drive market and eminence initiatives, including development of new service offerings and marketing campaigns within the practice
  • Displays a keen interest in industry trends and is able to identify opportunities

Your skills

 

  • Have or be in the process of completing a professional qualification (IRE, ACCA, CAIA, CFA, ICA, or similar)
  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience within a Big4 in Luxembourg or within the asset management sector (Fund Administration, Investment Fund Management Companies, Law firm, etc) in Luxembourg.
  • Proven knowledge in IFRS and Lux GAAP, or any other accounting standards
  • Sound understanding of asset management industry specific accounting and regulatory requirements particularly costs, long form reports, CSSF Circular 18/698
  • Experience with an Investment Fund Manager (Alternative or Traditional) would be an asset
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships
  • Strong operational skills - Ability to translate the “what is required” into the “how it’s done”
  • Problem solving  - Ability to “find it” and “fix it”
  • Working knowledge of finance and fund accounting systems would be an asset
  • Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities
  • Should be able to communicate effectively in English. Working in French or German is considered as an asset.
