Our EU Technical Assistance team has a strong reputation and track record in advising European financial and non-financial institutions. We support our clients in addressing  the most complex global challenges and support them with their development strategies, leveraging successfully tested methodologies, innovative approaches and opportunities to advance the EC’s development priorities including the Green Deal, Digitalisation and the Global Gateway.  

You will be part of a team that actively contributes to the EU missions and priorities by supporting the effective uptake of EU development funds and the successful implementation of development projects both in the EU member states and in third countries.

We work with renowned professionals and subject matter experts and we have a global geographic outreach.

Your next challenge

  • You will help the team to perform analysis of our EU clients’ business issues and priorities with the objective to identify opportunities for Deloitte to contribute and find solutions that fit their needs and objectives
  • You will follow up on EU procurement opportunities, support in the identification of opportunities and in preparing responses to requests for interest (RFI) and requests for proposals (RFP), including:
    • Identification of internal and external key experts and curation of CVs,
    • Identification and curation of project references,
    • Contribution to the preparation of technical and financial proposals,
    • Preparation of administrative dossiers,
    • Ensuring compliance with Deloitte’s procedures by liaising with the Independence, Risk Review, and Legal Departments, as well as other internal services.
  • You will support the team to deliver projects involving the design and implementation of solutions to solve complex issues related to different business domains according to the client’s need (e.g., development strategies, policy implementation and capacity building, as well as to manage and implement programmes and projects effectively)
  • You will contribute to programme/project/contract management, including:
    • liaising with the client on contracting ensuring effective communication and compliance with all contractual, administrative and reporting requirements, including financial reporting and preparing contract amendments when necessary
    • coordinating and following up on programme/project/contract implementation both operational and financial
    • identification and mobilisation of experts, coordinating experts work and validating their deliverables and timesheets
    • identification and onboarding of subcontractors, validating their invoices against their inputs
    • ensuring the smooth execution of programme/project/contracts by liaising with Deloitte’s Financial, Billing, Supplier and other internal services as required

Your skills

  • You have, preferably at least 6 months of prior experience (including internships) in Consulting companies or EU institutions.
  • You are excited about the work EU financial and non-financial institutions carry out
  • You hold a master’s degree or equivalent in business administration, finance, economics, law, political science, engineering economy or any related discipline
  • You have interest  international cooperation, development and consulting
  • You have fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in English. French and other languages are considered as an asset
  • You are interested in acquiring experience with project management, change management and stakeholder management activities
  • You are a solutions-oriented person with good analytical skills and a pragmatic mindset
  • You have good organisation and planning skills, with a collaborative and team-player attitude
  • You can act calm and constructive when faced with complex challenges
