Our Banking Operate practice has already identified and validated a comprehensive portfolio of services to be launched, covering multiple banking value chains. We are now entering a decisive phase: translating this strategic vision into detailed, actionable specifications that will serve as the foundation for service delivery, technology enablement, and client onboarding.

We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Banking Operate development team. In this role, you will be responsible for authoring Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and Service Functional Descriptions (SFDs) across our target service catalogue. You will work hand-in-hand with subject matter experts, partners, and technology teams to transform high-level service concepts into structured, implementable specifications, at pace.

How you'll contribute to our success

• Author high-quality BRDs and SFDs for a portfolio of banking Operate services spanning multiple value chains (payments, securities, lending, investment management, cash management, trade finance, and more).
• Translate strategic service concepts into structured specifications, detailing functional scope, process flows, roles and responsibilities, SLAs, controls, data requirements, and technology dependencies.
• Engage with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts (partners, banking operations specialists, technology leads) to capture requirements, challenge assumptions, and ensure completeness and feasibility of specifications.
• Map end-to-end banking processes across middle and back office, identifying operational touchpoints, regulatory constraints, and integration requirements for each target service.
• Leverage AI tools and Large Language Models (LLMs) to accelerate research, drafting, benchmarking, and structuring of documentation, enabling rapid turnaround without compromising quality.
• Ensure consistency and standardisation across the full service catalogue, establishing reusable templates, taxonomies, and documentation standards.
• Identify dependencies, risks, and gaps early in the specification phase, proactively escalating and proposing solutions to keep the programme on track.
• Contribute to the definition of target operating models for each service, including process design, governance frameworks, technology requirements, and staffing considerations.
• Support the transition from design to delivery by preparing the ground for implementation, you will be positioned to take on project management responsibilities as services move into build and launch phases.
• Act as a central knowledge hub for banking Operate service design, maintaining a clear and organised repository of all specifications and supporting documentation.

Your skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Economics, Engineering, or Information Technology (Master's preferred), or equivalent professional experience.
• Around 3-4 years of relevant experience in the banking industry, with demonstrated exposure to middle- and/or back-office operations.
• Solid knowledge of multiple banking value chains, including but not limited to: 
  • 1. Payments & Cash Management
    2. Securities (custody, settlement, corporate actions)
    3. Investment & Portfolio Management
    4. Credit & Lending (consumer, corporate, syndicated)
    5. Mortgage & Real Estate Finance
    6. Lombard & Collateral Management
    7. Trade Finance
    8. Regulatory Reporting & Compliance Operations
• Proven experience writing Business Requirements Documents, functional specifications, or service descriptions in a structured and professional manner.
• Strong understanding of banking processes, controls, and regulatory environment (e.g., PSD2, MiFID II, Basel, AML/KYC operations).
• Proficient in using AI tools and Large Language Models (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) to enhance productivity, for research, drafting, analysis, and structuring of complex documentation.
• Strong data affinity, including awareness of data flows, data governance, and data quality principles within banking operations.
• Ability to translate high-level strategic intent into detailed, workable operational and technology specifications.
• Familiarity with target operating model design, process mapping (BPMN or equivalent), and service delivery frameworks.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools; certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are an asset.
• Pragmatic, autonomous, solution-oriented, and comfortable working at speed across multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Exceptional written communication skills — ability to produce clear, structured, and professional documentation.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging with senior leadership and subject matter experts.
• Fluent in English; French and/or any additional language is an asset.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple deliverables and priorities in a fast-paced, high-ambition environment.
