The CMDB Officer is accountable and responsible for creation, development, and maintenance of IT ServiceNow based Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB). He/She will ensure information from across the IT ecosystem is represented in a cohesive a complete CMDB that supports Deloitte’s IT Service Management operations impact assessment and decision-making ability.

He/she, together with the Configuration Manager, Service Catalog Manager, ServiceNow Administrators and IT Service Owners, will support maintaining IT CMDB for use in the end-to-end solution, program/project delivery, and ongoing service management operations. This responsibility includes definition, modification and addition to the data model, implementing Configuration Items (CI’s) and relationship changes to the CMDB repositories directly, data analysis and reporting, and process support


 
 
Your next challenge
 
  • Build and maintain a coherent and accurate CMDB
  • Maintains CIs to ensure CMDB accuracy and completeness
  • Ensures all new Assets are added to the database and regular maintenance is being done throughout the lifecycle of Assets
  • Works with the Configuration manager, to improve CI data integrity regarding classes, naming conventions, attributes, data sources, and relationships
  • Assists Configuration manager in conducting configuration audits and reconciliation
  • Assists in developing standard IT configuration management methodology
  • Writes requirements, specifications and other guiding documentation from technical area point of view for Deloitte’s CMDB, and ensures it is understood by all stakeholders interfacing to the CMDB.
  • Supports Configuration Manager in day-to-day activities to implement changes to the CMDB as well as supporting assurance on quality of CMDB content
  • Participates and coordinates CMDB data audits with Service Owners
  • Active CMDB status accounting through dashboarding and trend analysis.
  • Actively participates in the Continual Service Improvement (CSI) for Configuration Management
  • Provide assistance to internal stakeholders
 
Your skills
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related equivalent IT field preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation v3 or v4 certification
  • 1 year of ServiceNow ITSM processes experience is an asset
  • Understanding of ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping tools is an asset
  • Solution Oriented mind set & be able to provide recommendations for the current and future platform
  • Familiar with the processes that consume CMDB data e.g. Incident, Problem, Asset, Change
  • Able to generate reports for KPIs
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical, and problem solving skills on maintaining CMDB data integrity
  • Excellent collaboration, customer service, and communication skills to work in a team environment.
  • Able to work quickly and effectively under pressure and to efficiently handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office tools
  • Fluency in French and in English
