Client Director in RE for our Corporate Accounting department (m/f) - Job based in Luxembourg

The candidate will support the development and operation of our EMEA RE Fund Center of Excellence based in Luxembourg. The EMEA RE fund CoE assists global asset managers running their SPV portfolio across Europe (financial reporting, tax compliance, corporate secretariat) through a single platform and a single point of contact.
Your next challenge
- Responsible for strategic planning, quality control, risk management, practice development, marketing, technical support for our operations
- Coordinates the activities of local professionals with our network of international offices to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality services to large Real Estate clients
- Manages and directs multi-jurisdictional engagements
- Required to communicate effectively with the Partners and the firm's professional and support staff
- Required to meet frequently tight deadlines and significant amounts of overtime in this extremely challenging role
- Produces monthly reports on team progress
- Leads team members, reviews the work and ensures that all team members have assigned clients and work
- Meets targeted utilization levels and follows the policies and procedures of the firm
- Identifies personal development needs and sets an individual Performance Management Approach (PMA)
- Completes staff appraisals, provides feedback to team members by following the performance management process and performs performance assignments of team members during roundtable discussions
- Responsible for the development and motivation of staff members and providing them with training coaching and counselling, leadership, supervision, feedback and career guidance
Your skills
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent
- Proven ability to work on a large client account and/or to develop a portfolio of institutional clients.
- At least 6-8 year experience in a large corporate trust company/fund administration, in a similar role in a Big 4 or acting as head of internal operations at an asset manager.
- At least 4 years practical experience in a managerial capacity within the profession
- Real assets experience providing service support for complex and multi-jurisdictional funds
- Proven knowledge of operation handling and standard industry accounting
- An accounting qualification isn’t a perquisite but certainly considered as an advantage (CPA, ACCA, CA)
Knowledge, skills & abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including both technical and business writing, deliverable preparation, documentation and presentation skills
- Fluency in English is a necessity, any other European language is considered an asset but not mandatory
- Advanced analytical, problem solving, listening and interpersonal skills
- Strong commitment to client service
- Proven ability to interact with clients
- Ability to present recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
- Well organized and ability to multi-task
- Requires a high level of maturity, professionalism, initiative, integrity and confidentiality
- Sound knowledge of operations in the Real Assets world
- Creativity, the ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions
- Ability to synthesize information and produce concise synopses/summaries
- Ability to work well in a culturally diverse team-oriented environment and independently.
