In the area of risk management, Deloitte provides a broad range of cyber security and privacy services to respond to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Our experts have hands-on experience in policy studies, evaluations, impact assessment, legal analyses, assessing networks and systems, but also in designing and implementing information security governance and transformation programs. 
As a cyber-security or data protection senior consultant for EU Institutions, you will work with our multidisciplinary teams of leading professionals to help design and implement solutions to some of today's toughest cyber security and privacy challenges.
 
Your next challenge
 
  • Helping our clients - EU Institutions, Agencies and Bodies - to address the increasing set of cyber security or privacy challenges that are persistent at EU level
  • Leading research projects (policy studies, evaluations, impact assessment, etc.), helping the EU Institutions to take stock of current cyber security or privacy trends and activities in EU Member States, and to define recommendations that are applicable to industry actors, governments and policy stakeholders
  • Coordinating teams of independent experts, European officials, researchers and with multidisciplinary teams in understanding the EU-level cyber threat landscape, in assessing the maturity of the current cyber security or data protection capabilities and defining a strategy to help the relevant national stakeholders
  • Developing a strong network of EU officials, government stakeholders and experts in the Member States in the fields of the Connecting Europe Facility, eGovernment, interoperability solutions, information sharing, international cooperation, etc.
  • Assessing information security or privacy risks; implement risk management frameworks based on industry standards; propose recommendations and practical measures; assist in their implementation and follow-up on the effectiveness
  • Addressing the underlying cyber security or data protection challenges raised by digital transformation (mobile technologies, cloud, IoT, digital trust, etc.)

 

 

Your skills
 
  • Having 3 to 6 years of relevant professional experience
  • Holding a Master Degree with modules (or a thesis/dissertation) related to cyber security, IT law, data protection/privacy, European studies, security studies, international relations, risk management or another relevant discipline
  • Demonstrating conceptual understanding of one or more of the following domains: cyber security, privacy and data protection, cyber defence, police and judicial cooperation, EU law, public government and cybercrime law, electronic communications law, international security and intelligence, foreign policy, etc.
  • Knowing of one of more of the following risk and regulatory frameworks would be considered as an asset: ISO/IEC 27001:2013, ISO/IEC 27005:2011, Directive for Network and Information Security (NIS), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Commission Decision 2017/46, Council Decision 2013/488/EU, etc.
  • Be willing to work in a multidisciplinary team, assessing issues from a technical, business, regulatory and political perspective
  • Having Experience in strategic policy studies, impact assessment, report writing and evaluations
  • Having a CISSP, CISM or CIPP certification would be considered as an asset
  • Demonstrating problem solving, critical thinking, verbal and written communication skills
  • Being  fluent in English (French or German would be considered as an asset)
