Our internal legal department plays an important role in ensuring high-quality compliance standards, protecting Deloitte’s reputation, and managing the risks associated to Deloitte’s business operations. As Data Protection Legal Counsel within internal legal department, you will assist the business team in negotiating contracts, seek innovative solutions and advise on regulatory changes, and help in ensuring Deloitte’s activities complies with applicable regulations.

 

Your next challenge

 

  • Ensure that legal, contractual and operational data protection aspects are properly assessed and implemented in the daily operations and internal projects of Deloitte Luxembourg
  • Support Deloitte Luxembourg in its GDPR compliance activities, including, among others,  maintaining the registry of processing activities, drafting data protection impact assessments, data protection by design/by default and risk assessments, handling data subject requests
  • Assist in the drafting, review and negotiation of contracts
  • Provide data protection advice and spread data protection awareness to the business teams of the Luxembourg Deloitte entities
  • Draft and/or review internal policies/procedures to ensure constant adherence with applicable regulations and monitor the implementation of these policies
  • Analyze and evaluate the compliance of internal project implementations with GDPR, in coordination with other departments of Deloitte Luxembourg
 

Your skills

 

  • Master’s degree with emphasis in privacy and data protection legislation or other closely related field. GDPR certifications would be an asset
  • Between 0 - 2 years of work experience in data protection law 
  • Expertise in European data protection law and practices including in depth understanding of GDPR
  • Good knowledge in the following areas: IT, information security, business process, risk management
  • Strong analytical as well as pragmatic-thinking skills, with attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, ability to bridge the gap between legal, technical and business languages
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and multi-cultural environment
  • Fluent in English. French or German is considered as an asset
