Our Strategy & Operations Consulting team is known for its straightforward approach to solving our clients' most complex business challenges. We offer EU institutions advisory services in the fields of strategy and policy, audit and risk management, financial management, technology advice and implementation, performance improvement and process change as well as human capital. The EU policy team performs market studies, feasibility studies, impact assessments as well as capacity building activities, on a wide range of relevant topics.
 

Your next challenge

 

  • Assisting our clients to solve complex issues, designing and implementing end-to-end solutions, together with other Deloitte professionals in Luxembourg and abroad
  • Being involved in literature review and desk research to understand a given topic, in terms of what the EU, individual European countries and other relevant stakeholders from academia and the private sector have done so far
  • Supporting the execution of research methods to gather data on those areas, which are of interest for the EU Institutions, implying a range of tools like surveys for the relevant stakeholders, interviews with key contacts, focus groups and/or mystery shopping exercises
  • Leveraging data visualization techniques to communicate key insights effectively
  • Compiling a set of policy recommendations to improve policies supported by the findings of the conducted research
  • Contribute to policy evaluations and impact assessments
  • Assisting EU institutions in the implementation of policies, regulations and adoption of public financial instruments through tailor-made capacity building activities
  • Building trust based relationships with our EU clients

 

Your skills

 

  • A Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, preferably in European Studies, Political Sciences or Economics, with a strong background in research methods
  • Up to 5 years of experience in a relevant position or previous internships within European Institutions or a consultancy firm dedicated to EU matters, in a position which involves research and academia, literature review and desk research, data collection and analysis methods, online surveys, interviews and focus groups
  • Demonstrate knowledge of research methods, public policy economics and data analysis
  • Show strong analytical skills, attention to details as well as a result-driven mind-set
  • Particularly for the position of senior consultant, have strong management skills in terms of planning and coordinating projects (both within the internal team as with a group of external stakeholders
  • Experience in data analysis: data collection methodologies, analysis of large datasets, data management
  • Excellent communications skills (written and oral) and teamwork approach; specifically high English writing skills are required
  • Be fluent in English, French or German are considered an asset
  • Additional European languages are an asset
