Our Strategy & Operations Consulting team is known for its straightforward approach to solving our clients' most complex business challenges. We offer EU and International Organisations/Institutions advisory services in the fields of strategy and policy, audit and risk management, financial management, technical assistance (TA) in multiple thematic fields, technology advice and implementation, sustainability, digital transformation, performance improvement and process change as well as human capital. The EU Team performs market studies, TAs, project implementation and management, feasibility studies, impact assessments and other types of studies, on a wide range of relevant topics.


We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time motivated EU Senior Consultant / Manager to join our dynamic EU public affairs and business consultancy practice. This position will provide an excellent opportunity to further develop skills and experience in public affairs, particularly in the areas of Project Development at EU and Global levels. An attractive remuneration is offered, depending on experience.



Your next challenge


  • Provide strategic support and daily input on PCM, regulation and TA monitoring/management;
  • Perform ‘Business intelligence’ activities and anticipate on market needs with various EU institutions;
  • Write reports, briefings, project materials, presentations;
  • Prepare financial planning for project overview and implement monitoring systems if required;
  • Reinforce EU procurement, compliance and bidding procedures;
  • Provide support to junior staff in developing appropriate skills and abilities;
  • Maintain regular contact with Deloitte Senior Management, EU officials and stakeholders;
  • Maintain relationship with clients, ensuring utmost responsiveness;
  • Attend and report on external events. 


 Your skills


  • Education:
    • Graduate Degree: European Studies, Public Affairs, Law, International Business, Political Science or equivalent, MBA studies;
  • Expertise:
    • Deep interest in EU policy and project development;
    • Experience in PCM and TA processes (e.g. EIB, Europe Aid, World Bank, etc.) related to the SF-DF/TA market;
    • Extensive knowledge of and experience in a wide range of public sectors related thematic areas, such as INVEST-EU, NextGen and the EU Digital Agenda, Blending activities - Financial Instruments and economic development;
    • A sound understanding of the ‘EU-PCM’ and related TA procurement processes;
    • Knowledge of building a team, setting-up processes, assigning tasks and ensuring efficient activities development;
  • Skills:
    • Ability to work as part of an International team, as well as individually on set tasks;
    • Good analytical and writing skills on various technical topics and domains;
    • Knowledge of procurement aspects related to bidding process would be an advantage;
    • Outstanding communicator and networker with a natural sense for diplomacy;
    • Excellent level of written and spoken English required, with other languages considered as an asset (French, Spanish, German, etc.)
    • Organised, with an attention to detail; ability to work within strict deadlines;
    • Commercial awareness and capable to enhance business opportunities;
  • Experience:
    • Previous project management experience for the EU Institutions (in the EU countries and outside the EU considered an asset);
    • Having managed small teams of experts, and with a strong sense of teamwork;
    • Minimum 3-4 years of experience, preferably including minimum 2 years with similar expertise.
