Your contribution to our success
 

As a Junior Business Analyst, you will support more senior colleagues in translating regulatory and business needs into functional requirements and in supporting the day-to-day operation of transaction reporting services. Over time, you will build proficiency in regulatory reporting, data analysis and change management.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

1.Support business analysis & requirements

  • Help, collect and document needs from operations, compliance and IT for transaction reporting (MiFIR, EMIR, SFTR,etc.).
  • Contribute to functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for changes to reporting systems, data flows and dashboards.

 

2.Contribute to development & testing activities

  • Collaborate with development and testing teams so they understand the business context and data mapping rules.
  • Help, prepare and execute test cases (SIT, UAT), document results and follow up on issues in a structured way.

 

3.Support operational & production activities

  • Assist production teams with data quality issues, rejected reports and reconciliation breaks.
  • Contribute to the analysis and implementation of regulatory updates (e.g. EMIR REFIT, MiFIR changes) and to change management (communications, training material, go-live support). 

 

4.Collaborate across team support when needed

  • During quieter periods, support other Deloitte Operate or project teams with similar tasks (business analysis, testing, data analysis, operational support).
  • Help, prepare and execute test cases (SIT, UAT), document results and follow up on issues in a structured way.

 

5.Engage with stakeholders & contribute to documentation

  • Work within multidisciplinary project teams (project/program managers, product owner, developers, testers, operations and client stakeholders).
  • Help, prepare workshops and meetings, draft clear documentation (requirements, processes, test cases, user guides) and support user training in a cleaning and approachable way.

 

 

Your skills

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, IT or a related field; or equivalent professional qualification (e.g. BTS, DUT, apprenticeship or comparable experience).
  • Initial experience (e.g. internship, first job, academic project) in financial services, banking, capital markets, data analysis, IT or similar fields.
  • Interest in regulatory topics and willingness to learn transaction reporting (MiFIR / EMIR / SFTR).
  • Collaborative mindset and clear communication skills, comfortable working in diverse teams and with different stakeholders.
  • Structured, analytical way of thinking and attention to detail.
  • Motivation to learn, openness to feedback and ability to organize your work and manage priorities with the support of your team.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Curiosity for data, dashboards and automation.
  • Fluency in English. French or German is a strong plus.
