Manager Assurance Services (m/f) - Job based in Luxembourg

We are looking for individuals to join our dynamic team in our Assurance Services business in Luxembourg. The Assurance business forms part of our wider Audit and Assurance function, and due to our exciting growth potential we want to employ people who have a passion for finance and a strong entrepreneurial spirit.

 

You will apply core finance and accounting knowledge in providing finance leaders with advice and assurance across all their accounting, regulatory and transaction needs. Our projects, which span a wide range of industries, include:

  • Providing practical and pragmatic accounting solutions as our accounting environment grows ever more complex.
  • Assist with implementing new accounting standards and GAAP conversions.
  • Improving the effectiveness and performance of finance functions by reviewing closing, and reporting processes and assisting with the implementation of best practices
  • Supporting clients with the implementation, review and optimization of finance operations  for their day-to-day activities

 

As a result of the diverse nature of the work you will often find yourself working with other professionals with tax, corporate finance, risk, and consulting expertise. You will have the opportunity to genuinely help our clients, and make a real contribution as we grow by bringing your point of view and energy to the team. 

Your next challenge

 

  • Lead the successful planning and execution of projects
  • Effectively manage engagement teams and mentor and develop junior members
  • Contributes to the growth of the team by creating a talent experience that attracts, develops and retains talents
  • Build strong client relationships, internal networks and play a significant part in new business proposals
  • Collaborate effectively across Deloitte functions to deliver on client needs
  • Develop and lead timely communications - both internal and external - relevant to our professionals and client
  • Develop materials for and participate in the delivery of presentations to clients and firm personnel
  • Drive market and eminence initiatives, including development of new service offerings and marketing campaigns within the practic
  • Displays a keen interest in industry trends and is able to identify opportunities

Your skills

 

  • Be in progress of completion of a professional qualification (IRE, ACCA, CPA, CIA, or other)
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience within audit or consulting in a Big4 or 6-7 years within the financial environment
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships
  • Display proven knowledge in IFRS and Lux GAAP, any other accounting standards are considered an asset
  • Solid experience with the documentation and review of business processes and the identification of key controls
  • Sound understanding of industry specific regulatory requirements
  • Strong operational skills - Ability to translate the “what is required” into the “how it’s done”
  • Problem solving  - Ability to “find it” and “fix it”
  • Working knowledge of finance and accounting systems would be an asset
  • Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities
  • Interest or experience in technology as driver for change
  • Should be able to communicate effectively in English and work in French or German is  is also
