Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Polyvalent Technician with Electrical Diploma to join our technical team. The candidate must possess a significant degree of flexibility, be able to manage task priorities. A professional with a first electrical experience background who can interpret and understand electrical and technical schematics and plans. Must be proficient in managing both low voltage and high voltage electrical issues. This position also requires to handling various troubleshooting requests, overseeing building maintenance and ensure manual tasks, including setting up training rooms or event spaces and offering user support. An ability to works autonomous as well as collaborate effectively with a team is essential. Importantly, this position demands a problem-solver, someone who can identify challenges and use innovative thinking to devise effective and efficient solutions. Fluent communication in French and English and fundamental computer skills are also a requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage troubleshooting and technical support within our buildings
- Ensure daily tasks with the technical team, including set up for training rooms and event spaces within our buildings.
- Provide user support for meeting room audio/visual tools.
- Analyze and understand electrical and technical schematics, plans and support document
- Prepare comprehensive technical documents, reports, procedure guides, etc...
- Utilize electrical certification to safely and effectively manage electrical tasks and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Monitoring and tracking of project progress and supplier activities.
- Cross-functional role that interfaces with diverse teams within the department
- Technical backup for the team
Skills and Qualifications
- Possession of a diploma in Electricity or a related field.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues efficiently
- Expertise in managing both low voltage and high voltage electrical systems
- Ability to interpret and understand electrical and technical schematics, plans and documents.
- Able to ensure manual tasks and technical support.
- Manage and follow up on various requests from users, providing timely and effective solutions
- Able to follow and oversee maintenance ensuring all systems are functioning correctly and safely
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to monitor and follow-up with works and suppliers.
- Proficient with common computer software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Capable of prioritizing tasks and demonstrating flexibility.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proactive, problem-solver, dynamic, motivated and excellent presentation skills.
- Fluent communication skills in English and French. German is considered a plus.
- Must have a type B driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
Any additional certifications in related fields and first experience will be considered a plus.
