We are seeking a proactive QA Automation Engineer with specialized knowledge in automation frameworks like Cypress and Playwright, test practices, and defect management. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards of our software products by designing and implementing automated tests, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in our testing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering reliable and efficient software solutions.
Your next challenge
- Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright to ensure efficient and comprehensive test coverage.
- Test Planning & Execution: Design, Develop and Execute (Manual & Automate) test plans (all types) based on business requirements and functional specifications.
- Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure seamless and timely feedback on code quality.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects, and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Performance Testing: Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to identify potential bottlenecks and ensure system robustness.
- Quality Metrics: Analyze and report on key quality metrics, providing insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, test procedures, and test reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
Your skills
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, IT or a related technical field
- Experience: Proven experience in automated testing with Playwright or similar tool (Cypress…), Prior experience in a similar role within an Agile development environment. Knowledge in Manual testing.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of test practices, software development lifecycle, and QA methodologies
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., TypeScript) used in test automation.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards continuous learning and development.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to testing and problem-solving.
- Communication: Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to new tools, technologies, and testing approaches as needed.
- Language: Fluency in English, French is an added advantage
- Certifications: ISTQB or equivalent certification in software testing is added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Database and SQL, Hand on experience using TFS and Prior experience using Playwright could be an asset
