Regulatory Watch Consultant/Senior Consultant (m/f) - Job based in Luxembourg

Our Regulatory Watch team assists these organisations navigating this continuously evolving and increasingly demanding regulatory environment. We offer tailor-made solutions to our clients that gather expertise related to a wide range of regulatory topics such as sustainable finance, digital and cryptocurrencies, conduct and customer protection, risk and capital management, governance, capital markets and much more.

Your next challenge 

• Helping with the management of a team focused on financial regulatory developments and how these impact our clients (predominately banks and asset managers), ensuring timelines are met and deliverables meet Deloitte quality standards
• Assessing relevance of different regulatory texts based on the specific scope of activities, licences and priorities of our clients
• Advising clients on the impacts of the regulatory changes on their specific operating models and identify the potential existing gaps in their current set-ups
• Supporting clients in defining new business strategies (distribution, products, operational, etc.) based on market practices, future requirements, etc.
• Participating in translating directives and regulations into practical and pragmatic business requirements and solutions for our clients, including inputs and advice on the developing of different regtech tools
• Helping coordinate meetings, liaising with internal departments, including managing the schedules/calendars of Deloitte`s regulatory experts to participate to various client meetings

Your skills 

• Hold a Bachelor/Master degree in Law and/or a Bachelor/Master degree in Economics 
• At least 3 years of experience in the financial services industry or consultancy for banking and fund management clients
• Experience in working in and understanding of regulatory framework impacting financial institutions (such as MiFID, EMIR, PRIIPs, CRD/CRR, DORA, AIFMD, UCITS, Taxonomy, SFDR etc.)
• Demonstrate excellent analytical capabilities and a pragmatic mind-set 
• Be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
• Show an ability to adapt to different environments, including hybrid working
• Have excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
• Be fluent in English and preferably, French. Any other language is considered an additional asset
