Senior Finance Transformation - Accounting Operations Advisory (m/f) - Job based in Luxembourg

Accounting Operations Advisory (AOA) helps clients leverage rigorous analytical capabilities and a pragmatic mindset to solve the most complex of problems by supporting our clients in the betterment of financial processes and reporting both for regulatory and managerial decision making. The AOA team’s unique skills combine technical accounting expertise with operational experience to improve and optimize the entire financial reporting cycle; across people, processes, technology, controls and accounting requirements.

Your next challenge

You will:

• Collaborate with clients to develop their finance transformation vision through labs and workshops, and develop business cases for change
• Analyse large financial data sets to support recommendations
• Formalize our clients’ financial reporting requirements and translate functional requirements in technical specifications
• Develop a proof of concept to verify your ideas
• Verify that the proposed solution is performing as it should once it is released and participate during the UATs / fine-tuning
• Apply project management and change management processes to support the adoption of our clients’ digital finance transformation initiatives
• Actively expand your skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients.

Your skills

• Hold a master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field
• Have 2+ years of experience in financial management or accounting IT consulting firms or related experiences
• RPA experience (preferably UiPath)
• Have awareness of coding (e.g.: SQL, DAX, R, Java, C …) and general automation (Macros, scripting, etc.)
• Show outstanding analytical capabilities and a pragmatic/hands-on mind-set
• Have strong problem solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
• Be fluent in English and demonstrate exceptional communication skills (oral, written and visual). Knowledge of French, German and/or Luxembourgish is an asset
• Have any Project Management certification or software usage accreditation
• Have experience in Consolidation software and/or data models/BI design & development
• Be a self-starter, keen to propose new value-added solutions.
