Your jobs purpose

Our internal Legal Department supports Deloitte’s business by serving as a added-value advisors to the Firm and providing the highest quality legal services to Deloitte’s service lines and other internal functions.

As Senior legal counsel, you will negotiate a large range of contracts to support and protects the Firm’s interests. 

You’ll work with internal stakeholders across the Firm providing business and legal analysis and related guidance, interfacing extensively with partners and the management of the Firm.

Your role and next challenge

  •  Serve as a trusted advisor to the Firm by providing practical legal advice and counseling on key legal risks associated with a broad range of corporate, commercial and regulatory matters.
  • Draft and negotiate clients facing professional services contracts and general terms of business for all service lines of the Deloitte Luxembourg entities, documents while mastering the highest level of risk mitigation for Deloitte Luxembourg.
  • Effectively assessing, balancing, and communicating to business stakeholders the risks and benefits associated with the contracts and take an active part in decision-making related to legal and commercial matters to ensure that the agreement fit for the business’ needs.
  • Building rapport with internal clients and stakeholders to deliver exceptional service to such clients and stakeholders.
  • Understanding legal and client business goals and how they impact the types of services procured.
  • Collaborating with other team members in working through complex issues.
  • Coordinating with internal cross-functional teams in order to provide a comprehensive risk assessment and risk management.
  • Participate in local and global legal initiatives and internal projects.
  • Creating legal awareness though the Firm.
  • After an initial integration period, you will assist in guiding and training junior lawyers within the team and more generally, you will be involved in organising work and facilitating the sharing of knowledge.

 

Your skills for success

  • Master's degree in Law, with 2 years of strong and practical professional experience as in-house lawyer in an “international environment”.
  • Knowledge in the investment fund field would be an asset.
  • English (fluent, spoken and in writing) and French. German considered as an advantage.
  • Ability to grasp, understand, and accurately articulate and document complex transactions and to obtain information to reach sound conclusions.
  • Business awareness and strong ability to provide practical advice and solutions to meet business needs thanks to your Can-do attitude and your flexibility.
  • Ability to manage contract volume and respond to a broad scope of client issues in the face of internal and external pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills along with the confidence and ability to influence senior leaders.
  • Team player with ability to interact with multiple levels in an organization.
