Senior Manager Indirect Tax Technologist for our VAT department (m/f) - Job based in Luxembourg

Our Indirect Taxes team unites 68 people, with mainly a background in law, accounting or economy, combining many years of practical experience to advise clients across all sectors in VAT matters.
What will you do?
In the digital era we are going through, one of the main challenges of groups and of tax advisors is to efficiently deal with massive amounts of data in order to rapidly identify key areas of risks and opportunities.
The main objective is thus to spend minimal time on data processing, and to maximize the time spent on reporting and data analysis.
With these goals in mind, our VAT team is looking for an indirect tax technologist who will be able:
- Participating to the Data Management roadmap, vision and strategy
- Managing VAT digital projects/solutions we propose to our clients (FAIA, ERP implementation, e-invoicing, CESOP, internal efficiencies/automations, etc),
- Assisting with continuing the digitalization of the processes in our VAT team (designing and implementing data processing controls to analyze financial/ accounting data for quality through the use of various solutions such as, e.g., ETL, OCR, RPA, etc),
- Keeping abreast with industry practices / regulatory requirements and formulating data management methodology
- Within a certain timeframe, forming a team of digital VAT experts, and developing more junior employees regarding the use of digital solutions, by training and coaching them, by giving them technical support and by supervising their work;
- Building strong relationships both with our clients and with our worldwide network

What about you?
- Hold a Degree (Bachelor or Master) in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Management, Business intelligence or information technology
- Have a minimum of 8-10 years' experience in a position and/or digital projects involving data mining and transformation. An experience in VAT is a must.
- Hold ETL, RPA and SQL knowledge and are able to work with large datasets
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills with an efficient and results-oriented approach
- Show good communication skills and ability to build relationships within a team
- Be fluent in English. Speaking French and/or German would be considered as an asset
