Young WoMen Challenge - 26th March 2021

Are you ready to take on the Young WoMen Challenge with your team and make an impact that matters?

 

 

The Young WoMen Challenge aims to amplify the role of women in the audit, tax and consulting environment, providing innovative ideas on how to improve the gender balance in the working environment.

 

This year, we want to broaden the scope of this event and make you reflect on more general Diversity related subjects. As such, the 2021 edition of the Young WoMen Challenge is open to all, young women and men. 

 

You want to be part of this change?

 

  • Form a team of three students
  • Come up with a creative and innovative project on one the following topic:

 

Topic A: Deloitte recognizes that there is an increasing need for tackling the unconscious bias issue in the workplace and wants to launch a new program dedicated to those matters. What are your ideas?

 

Topic B: How can Technology help a firm enhancing Diversity & Inclusion in the workplace?

 

Key dates

 

  • 08/02 (09:00 am) - Application deadline. We need you to confirm your team members and submit a project pitch. At this stage, it should be a short format to help us understand your ideas. Be as creative as possible - First Selection phase based on Project Pitch
  • 10/02 (05:00 pm) - Selected teams will receive an email informing them that they have been selected for the second phase of the challenge. It's time to work on your projects! 
  • 03/03 (09:00 am) - Submission deadline for all final projects Second selection phase: selection of the finalists teams
  • 12/03 (05:00 pm) - Finalists will receive an invitation to participate to the Young WoMen Challenge
  • 26/03 (full day) - Young WoMen Challenge Virtual edition ! 


 

Prizes

 

First prize: 500 euros (awarded to each team member) and an internship* at Deloitte Luxembourg (based on availability and service line chosen by Deloitte after evaluation of the candidate’s profile)
 

Second prize: 250 euros (awarded to each team member)
 

* Please note that you need to provide an internship agreement from your University and that you should be available for a six months end-of-study internship starting either in January/February or September/October

 

Agenda of the event on March 26th (likely to be modified)

 

The selected  teams will have te opportunity to present their project in front of a Jury composed by Deloitte Partners.

You will be asked to explain the internal organisation and the strengths of your team.

Please keep in mind that you are restricted to a maximum of 3 solutions for the selected topic.

You are free to choose your project support (videos – max 3 minute-long, PowerPoint presentation, newspaper, etc.) The language though should be English.

 

09:00 am – 12:30 pm - Project presentations in front of the Jury

 

12:30 pm – 01:30 pm - Zoom Networking Lunch 

 

02:00 pm – 03:00 pm - Award ceremony (1st and 2nd prizes awarded) and closing word 

 

Ready to take on the challenge? Here are the next steps:

 

  1. Talk to your friends and create a team of 3
  2. Choose one of the two topics mentioned above
  3. Read the Terms and Conditions. By applying, you accept those terms and conditions
  4. Apply online (each team member must complete the application) by February 8th and submit your project pitch via the following email adress luwomenchallenge@deloitte.lu
  5. If you are selected to work on the second phase of the challenge, you will be able to submit your full project via the following email adress luwomenchallenge@deloitte.lu. Please send one email per team by March 3rd
  6. A coach will be assigned to you at this stage. Feel free to contact her/him should you have any questions
  7. Wait for the results. We will contact the finalists on March 12th
  8. If invited, join us for a virtual challenge on March 26th
